Empowering India Coalition
Empowering India
has been in the making for about four years now. Presently, the web site is
in its third version. But in the past one year, the expansion and enhancements would not have
been possible without the partnership and support of
Friedrich Naumann Stiftung – Fur die
Freiheit (FNF).
FNF is the foundation for liberal politics in Germany, which was established in 1958, by,
among others, the first President of the West German Federal Republic Theodore Heuss,.
The Foundation currently works in some sixty different countries around the world – to
promote ideas on liberty and strategies for freedom. Our instruments are civic education,
political consultancy and political dialogue.

FNF partners from different parts of India, and the India-FNF Alumni Network (IFAN), have
come forward to take this initiative forward. Among the states where these partners are
collaborating from are Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Delhi, Jammu & Kashmir, Karnataka, Kerala,
Maharashtra, Orissa, Tamil Nadu.
Empowering India
is currently working with local partners in different states. Our objective
is to identify and invite local partners at state, district and eventually constituency level.
Beginning with Lok Sabha constituency, we hope to go to Assembly Constituency, and ultimately,
we hope to reach out to village panchayat and municipality wards as well. Apart from the
efficiency of decentralised gathering of various kinds of information from constituency level,
the partners are central to an effective strategy for disseminating locally relevant
information to the voters and citizens at the constituency level.
We welcome all those who would like to vote for India, to consider joining the
Empowering
India
team. Together we can make democracy meaningful, and contribute to making the largest
democracy in the world in to one of the best as well. Please contact us at,
